The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is packed with environmental riddles, but few are as charming as the shrine quest connected to Zora's Domain. The Ceremonial Song quest requires players to decipher a classic riddle in order to reveal a hidden Sheikah Shrine. Successfully completing this challenge involves obtaining a specific weapon and executing a precise acrobatic strike.

Unlocking the Quest and Securing the Trident

To begin the quest, Link must speak with Laruta in Zora's Domain after completing the Divine Beast Vah Ruta dungeon. She will sing a traditional song that hints at a secret pedestal hidden near a waterfall. However, completing the ritual requires equipping either the Lightscale Trident or its replica, the Ceremonial Trident.

If you do not have the Lightscale Trident available, you can easily find the Ceremonial Trident underwater under the northwestern bridge of Zora's Domain. Using the Magnesis rune allows you to lift it out of the water cleanly. Players following daily gaming news often highlight this quest as a classic example of Nintendo's clever use of lore and item integration.

Locating the Hidden Pedestal

Once you have secured the proper weapon, head directly south from Zora's Domain toward Bed encounter at Veiled Falls. At the base of the waterfall, you will spot a glowing orange pedestal resting in the shallow water. This pedestal marks the exact location where the ancient ceremony must be performed.

Getting onto the pedestal can be done by swimming or using the Cryonis rune to create a reliable launching point nearby. Position Link elevated above the pedestal to prepare for the final execution step. Careful positioning ensures you have enough height to strike the target accurately.

Activating the Dagah Keek Shrine

To reveal the shrine, Link must perform a plunge attack directly onto the center of the pedestal using the Ceremonial or Lightscale Trident. You can achieve the required height by scaling the nearby waterfall with the Zora Armor or gliding down from a Cryonis ice pillar. Press the attack button while falling toward the pedestal to execute the drop attack.

When the trident strikes the center of the pedestal, the mechanism will turn blue and trigger a short cutscene. The Dagah Keek Shrine will immediately emerge from the ground, granting access to its interior. Inside, players can open a treasure chest and claim a Spirit Orb to conclude the quest line.
